Professor Terrie Klinger awarded the Western Society of Naturalists’ Lifetime Achievement Award

SMEA is proud to share that Professor Terrie Klinger has been selected for the Western Society of Naturalists’ Lifetime Achievement Award. The Western Society of Naturalists established this award in 2005 to “honor an outstanding scientist who has been involved in WSN throughout their career and has made an exemplary life-long contribution to increasing our understanding of natural history.”

In his role as Western Society of Naturalist’s PresidentProf. Corey Garza, Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, College of the Environment, University of Washington, will be presenting her with the award at the 105th meeting of the association on November 8, in Portland, Oregon. Terrie was nominated by colleagues from the Western Society of Naturalist’s in recognition of her research that has helped improve our understanding of the processes that structure marine ecosystems.
