SMEA at the Seattle Aquarium
This past weekend SMEA was invited to participate in the Seattle Aquarium’s Discover Science Weekend, a wonderful opportunity for the public to get a chance to interact with scientists and researchers from organizations all across the Puget Sound. Over 5,000 visitors came over the course of two days and the kids and their parents had a great time learning about bycatch and pollution runoff from our two interactive demos. Thank you to our student volunteers Jillian Lyles, Jimmy Kralj, Amy Brodbeck, Teressa Pucylowski, Haley Kennard, Kaitlyn Jensen, Lindsay Gordon, Carrie Schmaus, and Chris Giordano who participated throughout the weekend!
